viking project week one

For this project I was tasked with creating the concepts for a number of Viking characters . More specifically a main character who was to be a ‘spitely young girl’ 3 npc’s ,a villain and two minor villains. The characters where also meant to be presented in the style of illustrator J.C.leyendecker.

I chose this project because I felt that ,after the last few projects challenging me in a number of areas that I was not used too ,pushing my skills and providing work that my portfolio did not already feature. This Project however would task me with creating artwork that I already do on a regular basis, namely character designs. This was because I felt I could really push my skills as much as possible and create artwork that I would be happy to put in my portfolio opposed to the previous two project which I lacked confidence with .in addition I felt it would be a really great challenge in timekeeping as While I was confident I could do it, creating that number of characters in such succession was something I had not done before with a series of characters belonging to the same world also being a strong addition to my portfolio.

for this frist week I started work on the jarl , the gueard and the main villain in order to establish a certain style betwee the good and tha bad characters with them contrasting each other
